TOURS SUITABLE FOR EVERY LEVEL
Classic
Mountain bikers of all ability levels feel great on ‘classic tours’. Pleasure riders as well as racers – everyone will find their own dream tour here. These mountain bike tours provide a large number of forest roads, uphill as well as downhill, and there are also some easy singletrails which are waiting to be discovered. In some sections cable cars can also be used for the ascent.
Enduro
The ‘Enduro Tours’ provide plenty of challenges for riders who have advanced fitness levels and riding skills. These mountain bike tours are very rich in diversity and combine trail fun and scenic pleasure in one unforgettable mountain adventure. As an option some cable cars can be integrated when making tour plans – this means you’ll have more energy left on the mountain.
Big Mountain
Last but not least, the ‘Big Mountain’ tours are challenging, premier level mountain bike tours in Silvretta. They provide long, extensive high Alpine circuits with and without cable car support and consist in part of several cleverly combined Enduro tours. The focus here is on maximum enjoyment of the trail and the landscape. They consist of a large proportion of singletrails and factor in as many metres altitude climbing and descent as possible.
What is an E-bike?
An ‘E-Bike’ is an electric bike which you power, but every pedal stroke is also supported by an electric motor; this means that you can cover long trails and steep mountain roads in a relaxed manner.
Power and fresh batteries taken care of
More than 90 E-Bikes and numerous hire & battery charging stations throughout the Paznaun region guarantee fun cycling at the highest level, in one of the highest lying E-Bike regions in the world.

Top-quality E-Bikes from market leader BikeTec are the ideal partner on our bike routes, whether on the valley trail or cycling up to a Tyrolean Alpine lodge. Either proceed directly from the town into Tyrol’s hiking realm, taking the cable cars up, and immerse yourself while up at the top in the impressive Silvretta mountains; or take the hiking bus to the neighbouring towns, which are also the starting point for many hiking routes. More than 1000 kilometres of hiking routes are available. There are of course suitable refreshments on offer at the many Alpine lodges and inns which are open in summer right the way through to autumn.
INVESTIGATE THE SURROUNDING AREA OFF YOUR OWN BAT
On the many and diverse tours in the Paznaun region beginner’s through to pros get to descend into the surrounding valleys, climb mountains, and discover waterfalls, reservoirs, glaciers and much more. There are also some lovely adventures and tranquil times to be experienced in the natural surroundings. Ideal to regain some of that energy which day-to-day living robs you of.
GUIDED TOURS
For everyone who enjoys being out and about as part of a group, the tourism association in Paznaun provides a joint hiking weekly programme of events. The routes are for experienced hikers and for beginners and leisure walkers alike.
For the most part the tours proceed on picturesque routes to cosy Alpine lodges and traditional inns. Combined with the fresh air you can re-harmonise body, spirit and soul. Incidentally, while hiking together it’s easier to get to know other guests and you can sense the warmth of a convivial atmosphere.
Trails of very varying characteristics and enchanting panorama views accompany the hiker up to the top. Leaving behind the lush Alpine pastures and romantic larch woods at the lower valley at the start of the trail, you proceed across steep, stony sections in high Alpine terrain to rugged peaks and rock formations, and then finally head back into the valley again. The towns are as full of contrasts as the landscape is. The spectrum ranges from Alpine bareness, to Mediterranean abundance.
The path proceeds initially via the new, spectacular adventure hiking trail from Ischgl to the Idalp (2320m). This two-hour hike covers a 7.5 kilometre, re-designed hiking trail through three Alpine vegetation zones and across suspension bridges. It is certainly quicker to get to Idalp on the Silvretta cable car. From here, it is just a five minute walk to the adventure trail in the wonderfully arranged ‘Vider Truja adventure park’.
The circular hiking trail– surrounded by the wonderful panorama of the Tyrol mountains – passes through a wonderful kingdom of water. It is not just little guests who are fascinated by the water mills, the water playground, the climbing frame and a water management system.
Each summer, holidaymakers in Paznaun, Tyrol, can enjoy a summer with a difference!
On the ‘Culinary Jakobsweg’, hikers, bikers and culinary enthusiasts can explore the fascinating mountain backdrop and food devised by 4 international star chefs in a traditional mountain hut atmosphere. Each of the exceptional professional chefs will each sponsor one of the Alpine Association huts and will create an exclusive dish for the summer menu.
You can find information about the 4 participating chefs, the 4 Alpine Association huts, the 4 pleasure routes and the newly created and interpreted dishes based on regional specialities over the following pages.
Enjoy new culinary peaks in Paznaun!
If you are one of those people who when hiking don’t just enjoy the incomparable change in the scenery from idyllic to rugged, and the unique natural surroundings with Edelweiß and gentian, ibex, wild chamois and marmots, but also look forward to stopping off for refreshments, you will find the very routes and addresses for Alpine lodges and inns they are looking for in the Paznaun region around Ischgl.
Tyrolean charm with cosy furnishings and tasty treats in and around Ischgl, Galtür, Kappl and See are provided by numerous mountain restaurants and Alpine lodges:
In contrast to standard climbing, a via ferrata can be climbed without any need of a great deal of advanced knowledge, and less equipment is needed. Mountain shoes, helmet, lap belt and a safety lock will suffice – all this is available from the local sports shops in Ischgl. Safety is assured by the pre-tightened hand-holds, steps and steel cable, so a via ferrata route in Tyrol shouldn’t present a problem, even for less experienced mountaineers – provided that your equipment, your ability to assess your own skill level and to take responsibility for yourself and for other climbers is commensurate. Indeed – those who don’t have much experience of a ‘via ferrata’ should definitely climb with a guide who will show you the basic concepts, exercises, and also some tips and tricks. An ideal way to get great results quickly.
The water playground which has a variety of wood and stone elements, along with a viewing platform and a small quiet area with play figures, is the perfect place to enjoy a rest. Here guests not only find tranquillity but new inspiration too. When it was being set up, particular attention was paid to maintaining the wetlands.
Fun and diversity are on the programme here with children of the same age and specialist supervision. All children up to age 10 are welcome at the Kids Club. Variety is a priority here. In summer, the children will be accompanied by Willi the forest gnome, who will explore nature with them and prepare experiments. The children are supervised by expert child care assistants. This enables parents to go walking in the Silvretta peaks and enjoy their holiday to the full.
Children can enjoy a varied weekly programme throughout the valley. There is something on offer at a different location each day
